Is your home’s garage floor beginning to show its age with cracks, stains, and chipped paint? Preserve the integrity of your concrete floors with epoxy, polyurea, or polyaspartic coatings! All three of these concrete coating options offer extreme durability, improve the appearance of your garage, and even increase the resale value of your home!
The Many Benefits of Garage Floor Coatings
Garage floors are without a doubt the most common concrete surface that our installation crews service; and for good reason! Garage floors take an absolute beating thanks to daily traffic, oil and antifreeze spills, and water draining off cars after being out in the elements. In colder climates, car garages are hit especially hard with road salts and significant temperature fluctuations, as well. For these reasons, more and more homeowners are opting to install epoxy flake coatings in garages. This high-performance flooring solution is:
- Highly durable
- Easy to clean and maintain
- Quick to install
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Cost-effective compared to other flooring solutions
Beyond these benefits, homeowners love the ability to choose from hundreds of color combinations and flake sizes to create a one-of-a-kind space in their homes. Choose from popular neutral color combinations, or make your own multi-color blend that reflects your personal style.

The Garage Epoxy Coating Installation Process
To begin, the garage will need to be completely emptied of any storage racks, cars, tools, lawn equipment, and sporting gear. With the garage cleared, our crew will have unrestricted access to the concrete floors ensuring wall-to-wall coverage.
For epoxy, polyurea, and polyaspartic coatings to adhere to concrete, they require a mechanical bond that can only be created by grinding or shot-blasting the concrete surface. Using an industrial concrete grinder that weighs nearly 1,000 lbs, MACH ONE® is able to expose the surface’s pores to give the coating a proper bond. Through our prep work, we’re also able to sand off small imperfections and disguise concrete repairs.
Once grinding and shot-blasting are complete, we use industry-grade vacs with High Efficiency Particulate Absorbing (HEPA) filters to clean up any dust left behind in your garage.
Finally, once prep and clean-up are complete, we can begin the coating installation. Application processes will vary based on the type of coating being applied, but either an epoxy or polyaspartic will be applied to your concrete. If you’ve opted for flake epoxy, the decorative flakes will be scattered before the surface is sealed with a topcoat.
