We applied a high-performance black epoxy basecoat for durability, followed by a custom flake broadcast layer to add texture and depth. A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat ensures long-lasting protection and shine. The Chiefs logo was incorporated into the design with a custom decal sealed beneath the final clear coat for enhanced protection and vibrancy.
Goal of the Project
The goal was to create a functional yet striking floor that could withstand vehicle traffic while proudly showcasing the customer’s connection to the Chiefs.
Surface Preparation
We began by mechanically grinding the entire garage floor to remove contaminants and open the concrete’s pores. Cracks and imperfections were repaired to ensure a smooth surface. After cleaning, we applied an epoxy primer to enhance adhesion before proceeding with the decorative layers.
Special Features
As the Chiefs’ game day DJ, the customer wanted the floor to reflect both his profession and his pride in the team. This was more than just a garage floor; it was a personalized design celebrating Kansas City football.
