A few years ago, this garage floor had epoxy installed, but it started peeling due to improper concrete preparation. This highlights the importance of a thorough grind with a professional-grade grinder for lasting results. We removed the old epoxy using polycrystalline diamonds on our large commercial grinder, followed by another pass with a finer grit diamond to smooth and properly profile the surface for new epoxy application. We applied a slate gray base epoxy, added 1/4″ Nightfall flake, and finished with a polyaspartic clear coat enhanced with a non-slip additive for safety.
