This was a very unique and fun project in that it was on a local Tampa dinner cruise yacht named Starship I. Starship was under renovations, and the owners were looking for a new, professional-looking, durable floor option for their main galley, so they gave MACH ONE® a call. The ship floor is made of steel, is very uneven, and full of chunky welds and seams, proving to be a new type of challenge during our floor preparation process. To ensure proper adhesion to the steel, we applied a primer with heavy moisture barrier properties prior to installing our epoxy base coat. After tossing 1/16 tuxedo flake, a high-performance polyaspartic top coat was applied to ensure a durable finish that will hold up to the rigorous activity of a cruise ship galley. The final look was exactly what the owners wanted, and they were very happy with the results. To put the icing on the cake of a great project, Starship leadership told us we were one of the most professional teams with the highest work ethic amongst all the vendors they’ve used during the renovations of the ship… the type of comment that continues to motivate us to provide the best service possible!
